Webcasting is being driven not only by the growth of the Internet, but also by the ever-increasing sophistication of its users. More and more, the user is accustomed to browsing the Internet for business and entertainment purposes and demanding ever-faster access to programming. Although webcasting is making its presence felt on the Internet, its use to date has been limited, owing to poor quality of video transmission.

Much of the programming found on the Internet transmits at a rate of 12 to 22 frames per second or at 1/4 screen resolution. This level of transmission results in the "herky-jerky" out of focus picture currently being webcast by the competition. However, WMI delivers its multicast signals at a "television standard" 30 frames per second, which results in a superior viewing experience that is more like digital cable.

Provided the hardware (Nvidea video controllers) we support HDTV resolutions at 6Mb/sec.

WMI has been assigned 255 channels by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA), a division of the National Science Foundation.   Many larger companies have less well known Class D IP Multicast address space, for example: Microsoft/IPTV has 64 , WOZs Garage (Apple) has 64 and Disney has 64.

WMI's technology IS second to none and well ahead of any other entities in this field. We believe WMI is standing alone in the field of "Television on the Internet."
